 Air Force Armament Museum100 Museum Dr, Eglin AFB, FL Mon - Sat, 9:30am-5pm This is a great museum! Free Admission too!   This one is Dave's favorite Click on map above to get directions. Take the same route as going to the airport Go Hwy 98 West all the way to Ft Walton Beach As soon as you cross Ocaloosa Island bridge into Ft Walton, take 85 North 85 winds north toward airport. At Eglin, get in right lane to exit left/north on 85. The Museum is just after that on the right. Website at afarmamentmuseum.com (Click here)  Some really great aircraft displays too.  30A Tour30A is the shoreline road that begins just east of Sandestin.We really enjoy a day driving and seeing new things along this route lots. It is a fairly easy, but slow drive with lots to see. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Elmo's Grill, Blue Mountain Beach. Visit the Creamery! Sea Grove Beach, Walton Dunes, and the town of Rosemary Beach is where you rejoin 98. Take it back west to go home or farther east to Panama City. Leave plenty of time to see as much as you want to see!   |
