ECCLESIASTES 12:13 “LET US HEAR THE CONCLUSION OF THE WHOLE MATTER…”
FIFTY VERSES! Wow! Have you really memorized 50 verses now? Half way to our goal of memorizing 100 verses from the Bible! You are awesome!
So, how are we doing? I hope you are one who has joined me to memorize all fifty verses we have written about so far. I know the Lord will richly bless you if you do. I also know, as we have discussed, that you are probably seeing the spiritual benefits of this discipline as well.
I know some of our readers will have used this book for other purposes as well. Did you find this a good book for Bible Study and devotional time? Did this prove to be a helpful aid to your Sunday School class or Group Study? Pastors, did you get any good sermons from these chapters?
Hey, I firmly believe that the Lord told me to write these books. I am going to be faithful and obedient to do what He has told me to do. As a result, I am definitely leaving the results up to Him. He can use this resource any way He sees fit.
Obviously, in accordance with our goal, we are now half of the way to memorizing 100 Bible verses. I hope you are one of those who has taken this goal seriously and decided to plunge into the spiritual discipline of Bible verse memorization. I say again to you, keep it up! If you have memorized 50 verses you cannot help but already notice the golden value of what we are doing and already see benefits coming into your life from being faithful to this goal. I encourage you to purchase the next book or forge forward online to memorize the next 25 toward our goal of one hundred.
If you are one of those who has used this book as a devotional or personal Bible Study, I hope you have found it to be as valuable as I have. I know that many of these chapters express my personal opinions and my doctrinal understanding of what the Bible says to us through these treasured Scriptures. Please feel free to study them further, again and again. I have found that we cannot over-study God’s Word and often find even more “spiritual nuggets” as we study it another time. Feel free to send me your opinions of the book and tell me how we can make it better for all of us in “the church.”
Sunday School classes or Bible Study groups – I hope I have stimulated discussion. It is important to consider different viewpoints on interpretation of the Scripture without sacrificing the value of its truth. Is there sufficient material here to help teach a great lesson? Have we been clear and concise without sacrificing the depth of spiritual application of each verse? Please also share with me how we can make this the most valuable spiritual tool for the Lord to use.
Hopefully, you have already found the online link to “Sword Drill.” If not, please give it a try from the contents section. I know that we all probably have different approaches to memorize the Word. Hopefully, the index card method might have worked for you. I tried to give you a computer-based approach to help make this easy online as well.
Obviously, this is not the conclusion to our goal, study of the Word or writing of books. If the Lord is willing, I hope to continue writing the third and fourth books, each with 25 memory verses for our use in memorizing one hundred verses of the Bible. So, I encourage you to PRESS ON! Let’s go to Book 3, HIDE THE WORD, Part 3. Join me and watch your spirit grow as you memorize and know more and more of His Word!
God bless you in your faithfulness to Him,
Dave Matthews
