I dedicate this book to my loving wife of forty-eight years, Cheryl Kay Matthews. We met my senior year at the Air Force Academy. We married the day after I graduated. Cheryl moved with me around the world in the Air Force, raised our four children while I flew around the world for UPS and never failed to take care of our home, many times while I was gone.
Cheryl was my partner in all my life. We shared a deep love and devotion to our Savior. She also had many verses hidden in her heart that I will never forget. The Lord took her ahead of me to heaven January 2025 after four years struggling from the effects of a stroke. She was my inspiration in so many ways, my comfort in times of trouble, the “sunshine of my life” every time I needed it. I will miss her greatly and this book is dedicated to her memory. I know I will see her soon.
