Daniel Short, 36, is a manufacturing supervisor for a local company. His wife Lindy and their children live in Floyd County. Daniel is actively involved in his church and has been involved in local youth sports for years. His interest in this community has grown from this involvement and he would like to continue by serving on the Floyd County Council. |

Daniel was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1973. He graduated from New Washington High School and Indiana Wesleyan University. He was employed for over 13 years by Ford Motor Company as a union worker. He has a strong background in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.

| Daniel decided to run for County Council at the urging of family and friends. His interest in budgeting, keeping spending under control and shaping the future of his community has led him to enter the race. His desire is to be a responsive representative of the second district and a proactive leader in Floyd County. Daniel asks for your vote and support in the upcoming May primary.
