JOINT BOARD AND MEMBERSHIP BUSINESS MEETING

Those present: Chairman Rev John Wongler, Vice Chairman Rev Steve Owens, Secretary Rev David Matthews, Treasurer Rev Kevin Horath, Rev Keenan Smith, Rev Joshua Powell, Emeritus Member Rev Jim Wilson, Rev Tom Sullivan, Rev Caleb Holbrook, Rev Rhonda Powell, Rev Jerrod Herald, Rev Elizabeth Herald, Rev Rachel Herald, Rev Tony Green, Rev Bobby Beard, Rev Jenny Wongler, Rev Mark Phillips, Rev Steven Bishop, Rev Hannah Bishop, Rev Caleb Hirsch, Rev Trent Harter.

Chairman Wongler called the meeting to order and led in prayer. He thanked Rev Smith and Josh and Rhonda Powell and Sister Jenny Wongler for their outstanding leadership in two weeks of great youth camp programs.

Secretary Matthews was asked to read the minutes from the April 23, 2024 Board and Membership Meetings held at Crosby Church. Rev Steve Owens moved that the minutes be accepted as written. Rev Holbrook seconded the motion and all approved.

Missions Secretary Matthews was asked to present the Missions report. He stated that $3,085 was given and distributed to our missionaries this quarter which included fourteen ministries. $2,710 was distributed directly to missionary ministries and the ending balance in BFMF was $2,725. Rev Jared Herald moved that the report be accepted. Rev Wilson seconded the motion and all approved.

Treasurer Horath was asked to review the financial report to date for 2024. Revenue for the year is $50,443 and expenditures to date are $116,196, which included $96,054 for repairs and remodeling. It was noted that Junior Camp income was $17,138 and expenditures totaled $7,777. Totals for Senior Camp are not yet available. The balance at the end of the quarter was $55,247. Rev Sullivan moved that the report be accepted, Rev Rachel Herald seconded the motion and all approved.

Chairman Wongler announced that Victory Christian Center will host the Fall Conference at their newly completed church in Bloomington, IL, October 14-16, 2024. The theme for the conference is “Foundations.”

Chairman Wongler briefed everyone that the All Weather Dorm was rented recently for $250 per night. He complimented all involved in how great the camp grounds looked for both camps. Rev Owens announced that they would announce a date, probably in October when they would lead some camp work days. Further discussion was led to receive comments and suggestions about future uses, repairs and possible areas of cleanup around the camp grounds.

No further business coming before the membership, Rev Owens moved that the meeting be adjourned. Rev Green seconded the motion and all approved.
