President has no business in Middle East affairs

How dare this narcissistic person we call president attempt to weave himself into the history books as the one who settled and set the Middle East and their boundaries and politics.

Democracies? .... Just wait until the Muslim brotherhood — Iran, the Taliban and al-Qaida fortify their already set-up shops. How dare this man turn his back on Israel; this is not Chicago community organizing. He needs to disappear back to Chicago and work for their new mayor — he could be a “go-fer” in the office.

I would like to have been present then when he and Netanyahu met. I could have given Netanyahu some good old Indiana instructions as to what our president could do with his “requests,” but I have an idea that the Israeli was quite plain and not nearly as crude.

How dare our president “retire” debts to Egypt, etc. Is our economy so strong that we can do this? No!

We have domestic needs throughout the middle and southern states and Texas — natural disasters — that need our attention.

Mr. President is too busy trying to earn a Nobel Peace Prize that he never deserved in the first place. We need to retire him come the next election.

SOUTHERN INDIANA — Reader pleads for voters to support Republicans

President Obama announced recently $180 billion in additional stimulus. We have had so many stimulus packages, one has trouble keeping track of them. Additionally, by advocating another stimulus, he is tacitly admitting that previous ones failed.

To review, the original stimulus was February 2008, under President Bush, for $168 billion. President Obama signed the next stimulus, after one month in office. It was a massive $787 billion. White House officials promised this stimulus would keep unemployment below 8 percent. Additional stimulus has included Cash for Clunkers, $8,000 tax credit for first time homebuyers, and increase of unemployment benefits to name a few. In the last two years, nearly $3 trillion has been spent, directly increasing the federal debt, while the GDP remains around 1.6 percent and unemployment roughly 9.5 percent. Yet, our president is again advocating more spending.

Some liberals have publicly stated that additional stimulus is needed, since the original stimulus was too small due to Republican intransigence. The Democratic Party, currently controlled by such liberals, has staked their political future and the future of our country on a discredited economic theory known as Keynesian economics. Roughly speaking, it advocates massive government spending in order to start a chain of events which causes the economy to expand. The problem is, it doesn’t work.

The last 60 years have been nothing if not an experiment of Keynesian economics vs. free market economics. Congressman Hill stated last year at Jeffersonville City Hall that Keynesian economics has worked in the past, but offered no examples. With stimulus, the economy improves only briefly as long as the freebies exist (Cash for Clunkers is a perfect example). Businesses don’t hire because of tax breaks; they hire when the economy can support an additional employee. The economy doesn’t grow due to brief stimulus; it grows when people have jobs.

Conservatives understand that capitalism is not a tool to keep the wealthy comfortable, but it is the only proven method for poor people to acquire wealth. Liberals, on the other hand, see the federal government as a tool to implement fairness and to fix life’s problems. This will never succeed as the need is infinite, while tax dollars are few and precious.

The current leadership of the Democratic Party is wedded to the Keynesian economic model — no matter how many times it has failed. I urge you to find conservatives — currently only finding a home in the Republican Party — and support them this fall.

Offshore drilling in Brazil

6/21/2010

On a segment of the "Glen Beck Show" on FOX (Fox Cable News) was the following:

"Today, even though President Obama is against off shore drilling for our country, he signed an executive order to loan 2 Billion of our taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company (which is the 8th largest company in the entire world) to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil ! The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China and NOT THE USA !

Now here's the real clincher...the Chinese government is under contract to purchase all the oil that this oil field will produce, which is "hundreds of millions of barrels of oil".

We have absolutely no gain from this transaction whatsoever!

Wait, it gets more interesting.

Guess who is the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian Oil Company and who would benefit most from this? It is American BILLIONAIRE, George Soros, who was one of President Obama's most generous financial supporter during his campaign.

If you are able to connect the dots and follow the money, you are probably as upset as I am. Not a word of this transaction was broadcast on any of the other news networks!

Below is the Wall street Journal article to confirm this:

Everyone of voting age should read these two books. Don't buy them, get them from the library before they are removed from the shelves.

From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

Reader: Impeach Obama

An impeachable offense is any act that subverts a fundamental or essential principle of government or (is) highly prejudicial to the public interest, according to the opening argument on the impeachment of Andrew Johnson.

History is again repeating itself for gross governmental violation of the public trust. What to do with a president whose track record is unpopular, unlawful and un-American?

A sunrise and sunset cannot be changed. Americans ideals and principles of who we are and what we are becoming is changing, and not for the better.

Ben Franklin at the convention in 1787 pointed out that immolation was the only way to rid the nation of a bad president. Its going to be difficult for America to survive and remain a republic until the 2012 election. There are events that have taken place in government that may never be reversed.

As long as there is breath in our bodies and free will in our hearts, we shall never surrender ourselves to Obamanation.

Woody Allen Says President Obama Should Be Granted Dictatorial Powers (Seriously)

entertainment.blogs.foxnews.com

Woody Allen has a strange take on the democracy that allowed him to become rich and famous.

The "Scoop" director said it would be a cool idea for President Barack Obama to be dictator for for a few years.

Why?

So he could get things done without all the hassle of opposing views getting in the way.

In an interview published by Spanish language newspaper La Vanguardia (that we translated), Allen says I am pleased with Obama. I think hes brilliant. The Republican Party should get out of his way and stop trying to hurt him.

But wait - there's more!

The director said "it would be goodif he could be a dictator for a few years because he could do a lot of good things quickly."

Of course, Allen has a famously strange relationship with reality. The director took nude photos of his lover Mia Farrow's teen-age adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn, and then ended up marrying her after separating from Farrow.

Farrow also said he molested their seven-year-old adopted daugther, Dylan. A judge refused to act on the charges, but called his relationship with Soon-Yi "grossly inappropriate."

Perhaps that judge has an opinion on Allen's "dictator" comments?

OLSON: Obama: A voice out of sync

>>SOUTHERN INDIANA About a year ago, I wrote a column entitled Maybe I Was Wrong acknowledging at least the possibility that I could have been mistaken in pulling the lever for John McCain instead of Barack Obama in 08. Now, more than a year into the presidents tenure, I believe I was wrong in thinking I was mistaken; or, to put it another way, I was mistaken in thinking I had been wrong; or, in retrospect, I had been right before I had been wrong (a little John Kerry lingo there).

Confused enough? So am I. Just how is it that a man of Obamas intellectual capacity can be so absolutely tone-deaf when it comes to singing in tune with the great American chorus he was hired to represent? Think if you will of the mass of the American people as a huge choir, singing out as it were its hopes and dreams, fears, values and aspirations. The U.S. president should be in that choir as its strongest, clearest voice, occasionally singing solo, but always within the confines of the choir and always in tune with the others, joining his distinctive voice to the collective chorus to magnify its power and message, not forcing the choir to sing his tunes, or worse yet, standing off to one side and demanding that only he be allowed to sing off-key and out-of-harmony songs the other choir members dont like or understand.

Really, just what is going on here? Has a U.S. president ever been so out of touch with the collective heartbeat of the American people? So out of sync with Main Street? A few examples, I believe, will illustrate my point:

Lets start with wanting to try the 9/11 perpetrators in New York City and in civilian courts. The vast majority of Americans up to 80 percent in some polls plainly recognize the no-brainer truth that these guys are noncitizen enemy combatants engaged in jihadist warfare against our nation and as such have no Constitutional rights; they should be tried by military tribunals, preferably outside U.S. borders (Guantanamo, anyone?). At this late date, theyve already had nine more years of life than the three thousand innocent civilians they murdered; do we really need to offer them civilian lawyers and the entire gamut of legal protections afforded by the Constitution?

Its pretty much the same convoluted thinking with the Christmas day underwear bomber, the Nigerian terrorist who tried his best to blow up himself and 270 others outside Detroit on Dec. 25. Here again, we have a noncitizen, foreign-born jihadist intent on mass murder. How did the administration treat him? Pretty much like local cops would have handled a domestic burglar or hold-up guy; he was interrogated for 50 minutes by largely unqualified police officials before being Mirandized and clamming up for the next five weeks!

Do you realize the intelligence goodies we could have gotten from this guy if we had had the temerity to take him out of his comfort zone a bit via some aggressive interrogation? In this fiasco, the best case scenario is that administration officials come across as members of the gang that couldnt shoot straight, muddle-headed incompetents that couldnt pull off a successful two-car funeral, let alone keep America safe during dangerous times.

If a pattern seems to be emerging, it would have to be the utter disconnect between what the overwhelming majority of reasonable thinking Americans would do in cases like these, versus what government officials actually did. To use an expression from Dune, these guys just arent grokking it, and yes, they do seem to be from another planet at times, so scant is their relationship to the collective consciousness of their fellow citizens.

The cap-and-trade issue is another case in point. In a recent poll, it ranked dead last among issues that Americans cared about or thought their government should be involved with. In fact, considering the horrendous winter practically the entire country struggled through, its alleged purpose to stop or slow down global warming seems patently ludicrous to most of us. Add to that the credibility meltdown among global-warming advocates recently, and you hardly have a 600 pound gorilla in the road that you cant ignore for a while, at least until we get our economic house in order and try to accumulate some truly objective scientific data on the subject.

But dont tell Obama and Co. anything of the sort; they claim the issue is already settled science and are determined to make a top priority of something that the vast majority of Americans consider a total nonissue.

With actual unemployment approaching 17 percent, according to some economists, and every man, woman and child in the country in debt to the Chinese for around $40,000 each, it strains the brain to think that our president is presumably lying awake at night worrying about the carbon hoofprint of flatulent cows. Scotty, please beam him up to the Mother Ship, because surely earth is alien ground for this being.

Space considerations dont permit much of a discussion about how he totally misread what Americans really want concerning reforming our health-care system, or how he is completely out of sync with the average man in the streets on gays in the military, and a dozen other issues suffice to say that most of the time he does in deed seem to be from another planet, and not a very friendly one at that.

All presidents as the countrys ultimate embodiment of the peoples will should have a finger on the peoples pulse. This coronary connection should be part of an almost mystical, primeval bond between leader and led. Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan had this joining, as did Bill Clinton to a lesser degree. As yet, Obama does not

If he does not find and feel our pulse, and if he does not quickly find his place in the American choir, he will most certainly be a one-term tenor.

Dr. David Barton is more of a historian than a Biblical speaker, but very famous for his knowledge of historical facts as well as Biblical truths.

Dr. David Barton - on Obama

Respect the Office? Yes. Respect the Man in the Office? No, I am sorry to say. I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama. Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama !

I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it. I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President !

Why am I doing this ?

It is because:
- I do not share Obama's vision or value system for America ;
- I do not share his Abortion beliefs;
- I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;
- I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August);
- I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;
- I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation;
- I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;
- I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than our American Citizens who need help;
- I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;
- I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land;
- I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);
- I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America ;
- I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East ; and
- I certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran .

Bottom line: my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my GOD to do what is Right !

For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs !

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country!

They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant !

They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years !

They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country !

They have made every effort to remove the name of GOD or Jesus Christ from our Society !

They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code !

They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech !

Unite behind Obama? Never ! ! !

I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil!

PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and his "goals for America ."

I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country ! ! Any more compromise is more defeat !

I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-GOD crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America !

"Error of Opinion may be tolerated where Reason is left free to combat it." - Thomas Jefferson

GOD bless you and GOD bless our Country ! ! !

Oh boo hoo hoo. Ah-hoo.

Poor Barack Hussein Obama. He's young. He's inexperienced. Let's all give him a break because the guy in front of him caused all of this mess.

BS!

Obama inherited two wars. He's done nothing to end them, and has even sent more young American troops overseas to fight.

Obama inherited a huge public debt, then promptly made it four times as huge.

And that well-orchestratd group of hate mongers? What about them? Who is doing the orchestration? Is Bush telling Beck, Limbaugh, Steele, Medved, and Galligar what to say? Seems to me that everything the right-wing conservatives have to say reflects exactly what our Founding Fathers had to say. And the DemoLibs seem to think following the US constitution is a bad thing.

Obama and his leftist cronies and hags have done nothing but try to BS America into socialism. Since Obama has taken his place in Washington our deficit has risen way beyond what any previous administration has seen, our national debt has sky-rocketed, unemployment has continued to rise, taxes have gone up, more troops have been sent to Afghanistan, attempts have been made to socialize American healthcare against the wishes of most Americans, the lie that the healthcare debate will be televised has not been corrected, the promise of healthcare for all Americans, at latest count, included only about 90% of Americans, the promised five-day comment period on new legislation has been broken, the promise of no lobbyists has been broken, the promise to reduce earmarks has been broken,the promise to end no-bid contracts has been broken, and terrorists have been re-labeled, and charge as would be a 16-year-old kid would be for egging the parson's house...

And that's just a few of the abject failures of Obama. The list seems to go on forever.

May I remind you that most things the Democrats have done have been detrimental to this country. Democrats decry the use of filibuster to prevent government taking away our rights, yet that was a tool Democrats once used on a regular basis to prevent passage of civil rights acts. Democrats fought the end of slavery. Democrats founded the Ku Klux Klan. Democrats gave us the bankrupt Social Security Administration. Democrats gave us the War on Poverty - an abject failure by any measure. Democrats gave us the Department of Energy policy to end dependence on foreign oil. Decades later? This place is a wreck.

Face it - the Democrats only want more of our money, and they want more control - total control - over our daily lives.

Want to talk about Obama's cronies? You know, all those people he tried to put into public office, like they Chicago politicians do?

Want to talk about Obama's much-vaunted spending freeze? You know - the freeze that freezes the Democrats increased spending levels, and has virtually no effect on freezing virtually 95% of government spending. Just another Obama lie.

Obama has not been a breath of fresh air. Obama is nought but a fart in the general direction of the American people.

So listen to those talkers on right-wing radio. They say nothing that the people who wrote and signed the United States Constitution would not have said. Call 'em Rushbots if you will, but in so doing you are also calling Jefferson, Adams, Washington, Franklin, Jackson, and others, the same thing.

And that 'teabag' thing you liberals like to bandy about like it's an insult? You need to re-think your pride. It's our 'teabag' for sure, but it's the DemoLibs who are on the receiving end, just like some inexperienced college kids who thought they could hang with the big boys. Wipe off your foreheads. LOL

Signed: Proud to be a Rushbot, and proud to slap my 'teabag' right where it belongs.

Reader says give Obama a chance

By CHARLIE GREGORY

For the past few weeks, the Republicans on the Hill have been wallowing in their giddiness over the lowering of the poll numbers of Obamas presidency. It is obvious that the only way they will be satisfied is if he becomes an abject failure, even if it means taking the country down with him.

Even Dick Cheney is showing his face and mouth, again, as if he thought he still had some credence among civilized society, who have observed his actions for eight years. He credits himself with keeping us safe, but from my perspective, he and George Bush were the greatest recruiting tools that al-Qaida and the Taliban could ever hope for, due to their condescending attitude toward the rest of the world.

Now, Obama has been criticized for blaming Bush for everything thats gone wrong, but lets face it there has never been a presidential turnover in history that paralleled the 2008 election, unless it was Harry S. Trumans takeover after the sudden death of F.D.R. in the thick of the greatest war in modern history.

It was in those times that most presidents did not confide in their vice presidents. Truman was kept in the dark on so many issues that he didnt even know that we were developing the atom bomb. He said upon F.D.R.s death, I feel as though the weight of the sun, moon and stars have fallen upon my shoulders.

Obama came in facing two wars, a financial meltdown, unimaginable debt, and the task of repairing relationships with longtime allies. He came in with staggering unemployment figures, banks and businesses failing by the thousands. And if he and his advisors had not taken the steps to shore up the banking business industries, the unemployment figures would be 35 or 40 percent, instead of 10 percent. And the Republicans just love it that its on Obamas watch that we are facing a financial malaise that no one knows exactly how to pull out of. And they have such short memories that they dont remember whose watch this economic tailspin started on.

I am sorry if I sound so bitter, but we have a young president who has been working his tail off, trying to do so much for so many, all the while being rhetorically savaged, which is what they do best, by a well-orchestrated group of hate mongers, such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Michael Steele and the like. And then there is the leader of the Republican Party, Mitch McConnell, the abusive obstructionist, who along with his wife, Elaine Chao, the former labor secretary, have been feeding from the public trough for years. And if Mitch McConnell has ever done anything positive for anyone, please let me know.

We have been engaged in this health care debate, and the right wing has been fighting tooth-and-nail against it. They are saying that 85 percent of the public are against it, which could only mean that 85 percent of the people have adequate health insurance, so dont tamper with mine, and be damned with all these poor slobs. They wouldnt work if someone gave them a job anyway.

Remember, all men may be created equal, but all men are not created with equal opportunities. So be thankful that you either have good parentage or good mentorship and have no physical or mental disabilities and are endowed with decent looks. Of course, many people succeed despite the lack of these attributes, but it isnt easy.

I am aware the one shoe doesnt fit all, but it seems to be a Republican tradition to have less feelings for their fellow man. Remember, after Lincoln freed the slaves, the South went Democratic because Lincoln was of the Republican Party.

Then, when President Johnson signed the voting rights, the South went back to Republican. When F.D.R. pushed Social Security through, the Republicans were against it because they dont believe in government involvement. But I dont know of anyone paying their Social Security checks back to the government. And they are frightened to death that the government is going to take one of their nickels and give it to some silly government program that provides for the less fortunate. And they call themselves the party of values huh?

I have always maintained a smattering of respect for John McCain and I could almost forgive him for choosing Sarah Palin in his desperation for a running mate, but having made the ridiculous accusation that Harry Reids statement about Obamas light skin and Caucasian accent was comparable to Trent Lotts tribute to Strom Thurmonds it went a little over the top.

Hes beginning to sound like Mitch McConnell or Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican Party. Reid merely stated some obvious facts. Now, if we could talk Mitch McConnell into giving us another (contract with America) like Newt Gingrich did, maybe we could talk Tom DeLay into redistricting the United States like he did for Texas. Hes a typical right-winger that should be under the jail.

In all this, Im not saying that Obama is without fault. I dont agree with his flying to Copenhagen while lobbying for the Olympics. And I feel that he is somewhat cavalier toward some issues at times that should be given more attention. Having said that, I feel that his overall performance has been a breath of fresh air after the eight years prior to the election.

Like I said before, one size doesnt fit all, so I hope I havent alienated or offended many of my Republican friends. But being the liberal that I am, you know that I can be very forgiving. Maybe, you all can learn to do the same as well.

Now, moving to local issues to Mr. Harry Harper, regarding your Jeers comment a few days ago, I agree with you that Kelly Curran, if not related, must be in close collaboration with Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. I dont know Kelly personally, but someone pointed her out to me at Baron Hills Town Hall meeting at Indiana University Southeast, which in one of her recent columns she referred to Baron Hill as performing shamelessly while failing to mention the rednecks trying to shout down the speakers, who were mostly pro-health care reform. He acted with dignity, while mildly chastising an unruly group that was probably bussed in for the express purpose of harassment.
